Where is NSBE headed?
The National Directives of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) is the yearly focus of how the serving National Executive Board plans to accomplish the goals of the National Strategic Plan and ultimately the National Long range Plan. These directives will be followed by the regions and implemented by the chapters.

Retention:
FRESH STEP
Develop and implement programming aimed to reduce the number of its members failing the gateway courses: Calculus, Physics, and Chemistry.
International Development:
Clearly define the benefits of international membership as well as create a standardized process for international incorporation eligibility.
Scholastic Achievement:
T.O.R.C.H.
Provide resources to collegiate and technical professional members to aid in closing the gap on junior members’ performance on the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and the American College Test (ACT).
Economic Empowerment:
NSBE-PRENEUR
Provide programming to foster the development of Black-owned technical businesses. As well as exploring different funding avenues in an effort to become self-sufficient.
