International Membership Information

The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) is a 501(C)(3) non-profit association that is owned and managed by its members. The organization is dedicated to the academic and professional success of African-American engineering students and professionals. NSBE offers its members leadership training, professional development, mentoring opportunities, career placement services and more! NSBE is comprised of more than 300 collegiate, 75 professional and 75 pre-college chapters nationwide and overseas.

NSBE is governed by an executive board of college students and engineering professionals and is operated by a professional staff in our World Headquarters located in Alexandria, VA.

We suggest that you read the Constitution and By-laws of our organization to give you an idea of how NSBE is structured. If you need assistance with some of the many acronyms, please use the acronym dictionary.

NSBE has a unique character in the world, and has accomplished more for Black engineering students than any other organization in the world. The same light that NSBE spreads to students and professionals in North America is needed in other countries for people of color. It is the vision of the international committee that NSBE will replicate itself in countries around the world, creating a world network of Black engineers, scientists, and technologists.

New! NSBE International Ambassadors Initiative

The NSBE International Ambassadors Initiative draws on past experiences of NSBE expansion activities initiated by our passionate and dedicated membership. This initiative will serve to engage NSBE volunteers in our continued expansion efforts and provide each of them with the information and organization to spread the NSBE gospel. Everyone has a part to play in the growth of our beloved organization. And this initiative will purpose to leverage the specific knowledge and networks of both our US NSBE members and NSBE members of international heritages, communities, and ethnicities to purposefully plant and sow our NSBE vision and mission around the world. Become a NSBE International Ambassador today!
